I hope I did not destroy their name too bad. I was thinking of buying a C6 from them and having it delivered. Has anybody done so? I was kind of curious about the experience. I was also wondering about what it cost to do so. I'm thinking that is is abot 1100 miles from my home and cost about 350 for a plane ticket with at least one nights hotel stay throw in.

If you're referring to MacMulkin in New Hampshire, they have an outstanding reputation on this forum.

That would be them. As a matter of fact, I just got off of the phone with Ron over there and am pretty close to a deal on a Torch Red GS 2LT.

I'm thinking that it would save me about a grand to drive up and get it.

Could be but I don't think anybody can beat their deal...locally anyway.

I bought my 08 from Tommy Jr. at MacMulkin and had the same concerns you are having. Buying a car sight unseen can be unnerving and of course having it delivered ads to .

My advice is "Do it!"

Tommy Jr. was great to deal with and everything he said was how it was done. No tricks, no lies and no misrepresentation. His word is good.

it took me a while to find an enclosed trailer to deliver my Corvette as it was in January and not only was the weather bad the Barrett-Jackson Auto auction was going on most enclosed trailers were in Arizona.

I think that I'm going to take your advice. Only propblem is that I have to wait until August to get it! I have to wait until my US Gov vacation is over!

I bought my '10 GS from Tom Jr., got a great price and he arranged to have it delivered to my nearest Chevy dealer. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from MacMulkin.

I would have bought from them until I found a dealer 60 miles away with alomst exactly what I wanted and they came very close to the deal MacMulkin was offering me which I could not believe since most dealers around here are usually close to sticker.
Otherwise I would have bought from them without any question at all. Actually TURBO6TA from the Phillipines just bought a GS from them. He is flying in they are picking him up at the Airport..Ron "Turbo6TA" Will grab his new GS and head to Fla.

I bought my 2011 convertable from Tommy. I ordered the car and MacMulkin delivered the car to my local Chevy dealer in 5 1/2 weeks, direct from the factory. This is called a courtesy delivery.

I ordered my 2010 from Tommy Jr. and Ron and have nothing but GREAT things to say about them.

As a matter of fact I have never heard a negative comment about them from anyone that has dealt with them.

I did museum delivery with Tommy Jr. Easy transaction and he made sure I had a temp tag before I got there.

Something to consider if it doesn't cost much more to order one.

I would be willing to examine a vehicle for you if you'd like. Honestly I have no stake in this game other than to say their Service Dept. is top notch. They take exceptional care with their Vettes and Caddys. They all are kept inside and are detailed like all were being readied up for a show. IMO do the fly and buy and drive experiance. You'll never forget the ride home. No need for the NCM experience.

I bought my 2011 TR GS custom ordered w/Buyer's Tour and courtesy delivery from Tommy, Jr. at MacMulken. He treated me great on the first call when I was a "lookie lou", and on the second call 2 months later when I was price shopping, and again when I was ready to pull the trigger 1 week later. No pressure, no haggling, just a fair price (actually the best price I could find), and a very easy transaction. He even made sure I was covered during the end of the deal when he was on a family vacation....he called from his cell and kept me in the loop with his sales team.

I'd recommend them to anybody.

I did not buy a car from them...but, it's NOT because they weren't great guys and offered me an excellent deal. I didn't get it because we decided to get a new house instead. However, when I go to replace my 06, they will get the first shot. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Man, those are serious testimonials.

I wish more dealers were like that.

And beer barrel, check with the local DMV on sales tax due for military temporarily stationed somewhere. You may catch a break.

If I'm not mistaken, there is no sales tax in New Hampshire.
