Default Magic deck lid?

Almost every time I walk behind my car with the fob in my pocket the deck pops open. Anyone else have that problem?

Been there, done that. Mostly when I'll kneel down to tie my shoes. I either pop the trunk or set off the alarm. I've set the alarm off just getting into the car.

Or, the push-button is stuck closed and when the car senses the fob, the button is pushed so the deck opens.

It's like butt dialing a cellphone

Get a FOB cover (that recesses the buttons) and you'll go back to simply being asked "is that a FOB in your pocket are are you glad to see me?"

If the problem persists, you can try cutting a thin, semi-rigid piece of plastic to slide inside the fob jacket and protect the buttons. I had to do that with the "improved" fob on our 2009.

BTW, nice pic of the car, with the trunk closed.

I think I like this one, at least I'll know it loves me. I'll probably get a FOB cover anyway in case it's really fickle.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

Ya just gotta get some looser pants! I find that bending, of any sorts, will either open/lock the doors, pop the trunk, or set off the 'panic' horn. The fob works best in my cargo shorts in the bulky lower pockets.

There is a DIY on cleaning the switch if it is sticking...might see if that is it.
