Just returned from my third road trip in the 2011 Grand Sport. This time, just over 4000 miles - Dallas to Las Vegas then across the Death Valley into Sequoia and then Yosemite, down to San Diego and return to Dallas. Road conditions ranged from 30 degrees to 108 and, of course, the views were great! Started at 13,000 miles (7 months on the Goodyears) and installed new shoes - Bridgestone PP RF's. To all those who wonder if they really make a difference the answer is YES. Quiet, smooth, performance and no fear of rain or cold temps. Packed the coupe with two suitcases, 2 golf cart bags with full sets of clubs and a couple of smaller totes to fill in the spaces. The only other thing I would recommend for a 4000 mile road trip is take a microfiber towel and plenty of bug remover.
Better downshift for this curve....
First time the GS had seen snow in 15,000 miles...
Great photos, and sounds like a wonderful trip. I love these "roadtrip" threads. As mentioned, proves many of us don't mind dirt, rain and even snow! It's the thrill of the trip in a wonderful car.

Sounds like a great trip. Thanks for sharing. Glacier Point is one of my favorite spots in the park. I like to go up for the sunset, then stay until it gets dark and watch the stars come out.
