I have used FedEx and UPS ground services. You don't need freight service unless you're bundling all 4 together on a pallet or something.

HERE is how I package wheels/tires before I ship them. I don't do everything exactly like this guy, but you get the idea.

It takes a fair amount of time (and a few $$) to properly package a wheel/tire...so just be sure you know what you're getting into before you sell someone a set of wheels/tires. It's not cheap.

Fed Ex seems to be the best deal for shipping larger items

Aside from packing, go to Fedex.com and open an account, then use that acct to ship them. You will be surprised how much you save vs. walking into a shipping store.

Be sure to put labels on the package, cardboard that protects the wheels. Do not put the labels on tires as they will come off and will not make destination

I shipped my old wheels as a core to West Coast Corvettes via UPS. it was quite pricey. $261 if im not mistaken.ill never do that again. part of the hidden cost of getting new wheels. nobodys fault but my own. Plus they had a $2400. core charge that I had to sweat out. sure enough one of the wheels was "out of round" (yeah sure) . live and learn

Man...I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip! I hate to think about how much money I've wasted on overpriced shipping...
