Spring Mountain scheduled !

What else should I know about the area and things I can do and see after class if over for the day?
Get a pair of driving shoes if you don't already have some (they sell them there as well).
Oh, and prostitution is legal in that county. . . not that I recommend that or anything. . . .

I was wondering about the shoes, but i will be driving my car with normal shoes, I was thinking I should use the shoes I will be using in the real world after the school. Thoughts?

I also had a pair of sailing gloves (no fingertips) that were very helpful, since my palms tend to sweat when I'm pushing hard.
As far as evening activities are concerned, we were both pretty beat by the end of the day. A drink, quiet dinner & glass of wine, and I was pretty much ready for bed. They will give you a workout!
It's a blast - hsve fun!

It was our first ride in a Z06. We bought one shortly after.

looking forward to seeing you in the school!
Here are a few points of interest/suggestions: Most folks who come to our school stay at the condos, like you, have a swim at the pool or workout in the fitness center, hang out at the club house, have dinner locally and call it a night, as it's a pretty demanding, but fun day. We do have a 18 hole golf course basically next door, with a nice restaurant in there. there are a few casinos here, if you are into that, as well as a great steakhouse at the pahrump nuggett, nice italian fare at tomassino's, pretty authentic mexican food at el jefe's, and last, my personal favorite Ojah, japanese steakhouse and awesome sushi. the winery is also great, and if you stay the third day and night, it's worth a stop, as it's closed on monday and tuesday. it's only 5 minutes from the track.
if you decide to make the trip into las vegas, there is no shortage of things to do there. take in dinner and a show like Le Reve at the Wynn, just saw it and loved it. red rock canyon is a beautiful, one way drive, on the way there, just off hwy 160..of course hoover dam is on the way to vegas, if you are driving from arizona, if not it's also a short drive. Downtown is old vegas, really cool light display over most of fremont street, and dollar shrimp cocktails. If you want to stay away from the strip or downtown I highly recommend Town Square, it's on las vegas blvd south, just off the I-15. it's got great shopping, cineplex, and lots of restaurants, like the yard house...great beer

death valley is to the west of us, about 50 minutes away, if you want to feel the real heat! and you may catch a few cars you're not supposed to see, as they do a lot of hot weather testing around that time. just take plenty of water
hope this helps!
see you soon.

We're waiting on a letter to return from GM, but we will also be honoring the third day that some Vette owners were promised in a goof letter. All ZR1 owners that bought in Jan and Feb have always been allocated the third day as well.
If anybody is wondering, Bondurant is offering at least 10% summer discounts and we do run specials at events that we are promoting at as well, (i.e. Barret-Jackson, GM Nationals in Carlisle, etc.) Give us a call for current specials.
Have fun!
we do offer a 10% off discount for forum members. also, we have our summer special currently going on. here is a link:

we are at Barrett Jackson in orange county next weekend and offer specials there as well. We are always flexible when it comes time to book your program, feel free to call us at the track (800) 391-6891, for any other offers.

during the summer the school gets done by 3, so you'll have a little extra time at the end of the day too.
I also remember the "good cop / bad cop" Daves. "Bad cop" Dave would smack your hand if you put your right hand on the shifter when you weren't actually shifting.... Kinda like Sister smacking you with the sharp edge of a ruler. That was a real no-no -- both hands on the wheel, and "look where you want to go."

At the end of the course, Rupert took my (then) 58-year-old wife on a couple of hot laps in the SuperNatural - I don't know how many other "Granny's" have been on that ride, but she hasn't been the same since....

we've given lots of rides over the years, and each one i think is very memorable for the passenger, and depending on how much they screamed, for us too
