Considering a shift light?

I track my Z06 on road courses, and I was looking for something that would tell me a little more than just a blink of the light at shift time.
I went with a progressive shift light. I got the Shift-i made by Ecliptech, and I got it from Traqmate. Here's a link to a thread about how I installed it in my Z06:

The good thing is that I can set the seven lights to begin to come on at any RPM I want, and I can set the shift point where I want it. That gives me a power band from the lower RPM limit area that I want to operate in as well as just simply the shift point. When I'm coming out of a corner, if I've only got one or two lights on I might be in too high of a gear and next time I'll downshift one more gear to get a little higher in the power band by getting 3 or 4 lights illuminated.
More and more lights illuminate as I approach the shift point, and then all of them blink, so it's very easy to tell your approaching, and then at, your shift point. I like that much better than just one light that comes on as a panic light when RPM hits the magic number.
Just MHO, YMMV!!
