Hello, My name is Tom. I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hello. I'm new to the forum but not to the Corvette Family. We just bought a 2011 Supersonic blue Grand Sport. I'm thinking of adding carbon fiber rockers & front splitter from GM. What do you guys think about it? Thank you!
Do a search for threads posted by AM.MSCL, who added some sharp looking carbon fiber to his Supersonic Blue Grand Sport convertible. He has some photos posted.
Thank you very much. I did post a pic, but for some reason, it's not showing. Still learning my way around. I did a search for the ss blue you mentioned, but didn't see any pics. Sorry I am a newbie.....

Been there, my friend. Welcome. Enjoy the entertainment here. Just don't make any sudden moves.

Welcome! SSB and the Grand Sport. Great color on a great Car. You will love it here. A great bunch of guys/girls with a collective wealth of knowledge and passion for these Cars. Your planned mods sound sharp.

First of all, let me add my congratulations on your new GS. That said, let me share a recent experience when I went on a GTG with fellow forum members of the NW Region.
We had nearly 30 cars at the BBQ/Picnic, the majority of them being of the C6 variety. Great turnout and it was fun to walk down the rows of beautiful cars and, then, I stopped and began to wonder why my '07 1LT seemed so unusual among the cars presented. I eventually came to the realization that I was probably the only "showroom stock" Corvette there.
Point being, I suppose, if you want to be unique among a group of late model Corvette owners, don't start adding accessories or mods to your car. Not to say there aren't valid reasons for doing this, but it's actually kind of cool to have a completely unmolested Corvette at any GTG. For sure, the others who can't leave their Corvettes as delivered may be suffering from delusions of actually being "Better than You", but most of them are really good people, just with a higher propensity to spend than those of us who are perfectly content to leave things as GM intended.

OK, flame suit on....
Showroom stock is OK, but imho tasteful mods is better. Those would look great! Oh, and hello Tom.
