Paddle shift question please

Guys thinking about buying a 08 and up corvette,perfere blue or crystal red if anyone knows of one for sale,fair miles.
Anyway i was wondering if i bought one with a 2lt or 1lt package with no heads up can you see what gear you are in on the dash somewere if you are using sport mode on the shifter,or so you just guess or remember what gear you was in?

It will display in the DIC as soon as you go into the Sport mode.

You can see what gear its in, in the DIC.

Don't you have to be using the paddles to see what gear it's in? I know you do have to be using the paddles to see the gear in the HUD.

If traction control is off. You can't see the gear your in.

No, afraid not. I just bought my 08 from the local dealership 2 weeks ago.

If you hit Reset the gear will display whether going into TC off, Comp, or TC/AH all off -- at least on mine.
