It was 107º here today. I was out driving around for about half an hour and the outside temp on the AC screen never went over 87º. It's been pretty accurate until today. Is there a button push sequence on the AC control that will reset or recalibrate it or maybe the sensor under the hood is bad?

Sometimes when the ambient temperature is considerably above the last reading it takes a while to update. If you truly had the car running for 30 minutes without shutting it off at all, there maybe a problem with the sensor.
I went through the same with inaccurate outside temp readings. Tried to calibrate several times, finally just had the outside sensor replaced by the dealer. Problem solved.

Simultaneously, depress the far right two buttons and the fan up button on your climate control.
I did this several times to no avail. I believe GM has a bad batch of sensors. It took about 5 minutes to replace and no costs, if you still have warranty.
A better description of buttons:
Rear Defrost (right most climate button)
Front Defog (2nd right most button)
Fan Speed Increase (4th right most button)

Or try disconnecting the battery for a while so the computers reset. That might clear the glitch.

Must press all three at the same time.
The outside temp display does not always display the actual reading of the outside air temp sensor because the heat from the engine will cause the reading to be higher than the actual air temperture. The BCM has a whole set of rules for determining when to increase the display temperture. Unless you are driving above 35MPH for at least 5 minutes the temp will not increase. By pressing the above button combination, the BCM will throw out all the rules, and display the actual temp sensor reading.
So if you press the above buttons and the display is way off on the actual temperture, you have a bad outside temp sensor.
