A.C not working

A.C not working
For some reason when i push the button to turn on the A.C is does not cut on and soon after it begins to blink even after turning car off and back on. i have a 2005 C6 automatic. Finally shifter gets stuck in park. HELP

You were told back in Feb that you need to get a new shifter. So, it's been working okay since then........or you've been forcing it to work?

As for the HVAC unit, when it starts blinking, it "usually" is the first sign that it is failing and it's just a matter of time before it quits completely. The fact that the A/C isn't turning on already is confirmation of the failure. Sorry.
