Need some help/advice from you guys. Can I apply Rejex over an existing wax (Maquires)? Or do I need to take off the old wax with Dawn or something similar?
Thanks.
I would use dawn and wash the car twice before switching... Please just use Dawn, not the scented variety. While the scented is nice for washing dishes, it tends to leave a film when used on your car.
Just take the time to do this and you will be much happier with the results. I would even try to use very warm water if you can.
You must remove all old wax prior to using Rejex. Dawn will do the trick. Also, I never wax on top of Rejex, or any polish for that matter. Car lives in the gargage & is a DD but almost never sits out for more than a few hours. Therefor, no need for wax protection. By not waxing on top of Rejex [they tell you not to] it is far easier to reapply more coats of Rejex!
A wise 'rule of thumb' is always start with a clean virgin surface...I am not a fan of the 'use Dawn' approach... wash car, clay bar and then apply Rejex... then do the apply Rejex again, cure 24 hrs wipe off and repeat. After that a good detailer is all you need... Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Final 34 is the detailer of choice for me...just my preference

Why do you leave it on for 24 hours? Usually 20 minutes and it's ready to wipe off and 12 hours to cure out of weather....after it's wiped off.
I would assume the poster meant to say: let it cure for 24 hours BEFORE applying another coat. Rejex should be wiped off after it hazes, which is fairly quick to happen.
Directions on the product are simple and very clear.
Well, here are a few pics of my recent Rejex application.I like the way it went on and off. Sun is not shining so all I have is a few garage shots, not the best but.....
