Are you going to go to the dealership for a second opinion at all? Please keep us updated on what happens with this. I want to make sure it gets fixed.

not sure if i will take it to a dealer cause i am out of warranty
there is no good will on things like that are there
Early '05's had an A/C overfill problem. Too much factory installed 'freon'. Mine would cycle on and off when over 120 degrees. Which is not uncommon here. There was a TSB to remove 0.1 lb as I recall, but you could try to release about 2 pfhhhhts of 'freon' manually yourself and see if the condition improves. It doesn't sound like you've got much to lose anyway.
My compressor started making funny noises about 2 summers ago and was replaced on my extended warranty. About $800 as I recall.

Technically "Freon" is a manufactures name. However the 05 cars did have a factory refrigerant overcharge which didn't affect my car until the blower was put on 6 months after new. Servicing dealer evacuated and recharged system to correct weight.
