I have used car wax and polishes on the windows for a long time. It works great but the first time the windshield is wet you may get a little smearing from the wipers. After that it is like having RainX on the windows except it lasts a lot longer. The windows look great when you use it. With some waxes or polishes you may have to wait until after the first wash and towel drying for the car finish and windows to really pop but that isn't much of a wait.

Use DP Glass Restorer (or Duragloss Nu-Glass) first to clean and prep glass. Then use Aquapel to protect and seal for months.

I always wax my windows. The rain water rolls off of them better, so less water spots. And it makes them just as butter-smooth as freshly-waxed paint.

I agree!
I even clay bar them when doing the paint as well, works great on windshields to remove bug guts!

While you're at it, clay bar your shower glass too, it works great. The hard water spots come right off.

I have always waxed the glass, even all the windows in the house. With waxed glass, a quick power wash really cleans things up fast.
