It's a feature telling you "goodbye" and that your car is safely locked

You can adjust it to honk once, or flash the lights or do nothing at all when you exit. You make these adjustments through the DIC (driver information center). Read your owner's manual, it will explain how to do these things.

I have mine set to honk once and flash the lights...Gives me piece of mind.

It will also honk 3 times as a warning though, if you have left your FOB inside.

It will beep three times if you leave your FOB in the car or it thinks you did. Sometimes if you begin to close the door before you have completely cleared the door jam and the fob is in your pocket the horn will beep 3 times.

If you are not leaving the fob inside the car, then try just standing slightly further away when you close the door.

I occasionally get the triple horn when my right pocket is close to the door as I close it.

You have yours set to blow the horn when it locks, but note that you cannot tell it how many times to blow the horn when it locks.

It will only blow the horn once when it locks if you have that set.

3 beeps means it "thinks" a fob was left in the car. Per the suggestions above, try moving away from the car a little sooner so the fob won't be close to the car for long.

And, if you turn off the engine, open the door and then close the door without getting out of the car, the three beeps will occur.
