Not looking for flames, or why not try this type of thing. Just wanted to know if anyone has use the old stand by NU FINISH. Used it many years ago. It's a polymer like many other products out there. Anyone have any comments or comparisons to any of our other infamous products like Rejex, Zaino etc.?
After trying NXT, Black Magic, and several others, I went back to Nu Finish for my black C6. For me it's the only one that applies and removes easily without streaking. Found the same thing with my previous ride, a black 308 Ferrari.
Yes, I still use it, here is a sample of the results, it is cheap and very easy to use and can even be applied in the sun which is helpful when you are on a tight schedule like me:
I have found that NU FINISH lasts longer than the new carnuba waxes. I use it on my truck and my wife's car which are every day drivers. I use NU FINISH on these vehicles because they are constantly exposed to the weather. On my Z06 and two old chevelles I use a good Mcquires wax on them. But those cars are garage kept and not constantly subjected to harse Alabama sun like my every day drivers.
I use NXT 2.0 on my vette and 'am very happy with it. Bugs will not stick to it, they come right off. However, Nu Finish is the only thing I can use on my wife's red '99 Miata. I don't know what kind of paint they use but it is not clear coated. Nothing I have tried on it will come off but Nu Finish. As of matter of fact I have used it to take off other brands. DO NOT GET ON BLACK PLASTIC!
Just my 2 cents.
I use Nu Finish on the rocker panels and front facia because it does seem to hold up better than most. I wouldn't have a problem doing the whole car with it. It's been good for me. I use it on my other cars.
I have used it in the past with great results. Have yet to try it on my Corvette though. I have used the NXT on the Corvette but just saw an ad for it on TV that got me thinking......

Thanks for all the reply's guy's. That was kind of my take on it. Very good product and cheap. As was said, not widely accepted here on the forum because it's cheap.
If anyone has a direct comparison to shine and longevity with Rejex, I'd like to know your opinion.

Opinions will vary widely, IF you like it, use it, I have found alot of great info on this forum, But with polishes it is about opinions. Except wolfdog, his black car is one of the best!

not really the same products. Even though both are synthetic waxes (sealants), Rejex has NO appreciable cleaners or polishes unlike Nu-Finish. Nu-Finish is actually more like an AIO product , think Poorboys Sealant w/ polish. If you use Rejex, very durable and glossy, you want to clean and polish paint first for best results.
Yes, Nu-Finish has a lot of "scrubbing power" due to the cleaners in it. I've used in on my daily driver car with fantastic results.
The only problem I have with it is the white residue it leaves in small cracks...it doesn't dry clear like Zaino's finish restoring polishes.
BTW I don't think Rejex is expensive. I've used it exculsively on my Corvette from day 1 and it has protected the finish from any and all atmospheric "fallout" and acid rain. I don't have a need for any kind of abrasive cleaners and my car now has 31,000 miles since I picked it up at the NCM in 2008.
I have used it many times on different vehicles and have always found it easy to apply, remove and long lasting protection. It's good stuff and stands on its own.
The old version was too abrasive for me to use, but the reformulated version is actually super nice for a readily available paint sealant. It is an AIO, but guess what, most people need an AIO for their daily driver. The durability is very good too. I did a comparison on one of the detailing forums and it beat out Optimum Poliseal, Finish Kare's FK215 and hung right there with Zaino's AIO.
Interesting reading the comments. Instead of ordering stuff or making special trips, I can just pick up my next wax/sealant when I am grocery shopping. That's a win win.
Just saw they offer a spray wax "Cling" to use between waxes. May try it just to see. But, still like Griots sprays, and Rejex too.
