C6 A6 CutOut , Step In!
Hello guys iv bought DMH High Profile CutOuts for my C6 A6 and now im having problems with installing it... after lifting the car and getting underneath i found out that actually there is no spot on the rear near auto gear box to install it... and the only way to do so is by installing them with the motors facing down , getting risk to get hit by stone or something else by the road since the car is low for our broken roads...
so after searching the web boards and our lovely corvetteforum.com if found out that there is another spot in front of the car to install them...
Like mr.Douglas did it
to test it iv uninstalled my exhaust pipes right after the cats... and drove it a bit and totally disliked the sound... also there was too much noise in the cabin interior since its right under the interior... then iv installed everything back and uninstalled the ehxaust pipes after the H pipes... so as it would be if the cutouts would be nearby the A6 gear box.. iv loved it much more it wasnt that noisy in interior and didnt have that much drone... But my point is that my little tests that iv made with uninstalling the pipes didnt bring me the ideal picture of what would happen if actual cutout would be there , because even with the cutout installed in the pipes , probably 50% of the flow will still avoid the cutouts holes and will continue to go thru the pipes to the end rear of the car and only like 50% of the flow will go thru the cutouts , so the sound would be a bit different...
Anyone got the sound clip with cutout installed in the front ?
OR anyone can share with their experience with A6 Cutouts installation ?
im Thinking also about selling those cutouts and perhaps ordering a little small ones that could actually find their spots behind the car nearby the A6 gearbox ? is there any QTP cutouts that would suit there perhaps anybody would give me the name of it... any pictures of installed it on the a6 would help...
