Quick recovery for them.been riding bikes over 40 years and it is really getting dangerous on the roads.people just don't give a ***** and are *******s .........i was making a left hand turn on a 2 lane road recently and was waiting for oncoming vehicle to go by.......when it did i started letting out clutch and just happened to see in my left mirror i was being passed from behind on my left.they were going fast and just about hit my handle bar.............lucky i did not have a gun on me cause i would of shot the driver......sorry about the rant but it seems everyone i know who rides are having close calls..........blowed stop signs...getting cut off.......turning in front of you etc...........

Both will be back in battery soon, Lisa and we will make the Tail trip!! I just sent him a text. I will call him in a few days - after his ribs are better so he won't cry when he laughs!

Oh John, their health first, the dragon later. Johnny broke 3 of his ribs a few years ago and he was in pain for a good bit. And the laughing was the worst part. I will look forward to our trip though. I'm ready. I will be keeping them both close in my thoughts. you guys just keep me posted!

Very glad to hear that they didn't get seriously injured.

Best wishes and prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

Derwin called me yesterday. He and Brenda are in my prayers. He has eight broken ribs, a broken collar bone, bruised hip, I believe a broken finger, one finger nail was ripped off, and a concussion. However, he is a trooper and will make a fast recovery.

You can't keep that tough old dude down! I wouldn't be surprised if he goes into work before the week is over.....Derwin told me that someone riding a motorcycle ahead of him (not part of his group) crossed the center line and side swiped a mini van. From what I understand, it bounced the bike back into Derwins path. Luckily, Derwin was only going about 25 mph, but it destroyed his and his wifes helmets. We are very lucky to still have them around.....and thank God they had helmets on, or it would have been much worse. He and Brenda are two of the finest folks that you will ever meet, and I'm sure they would appreciate everyones prayers.

Thank god they had on helmets
I used to ride in packs..no more. It is the pack mentality with so many normally safe riders to be careless.
But "**** happens" and 10x's that on two wheels. Prayers go out for a speedy recovery.
