Can someone tell me about the roof on a Z06 equipped with the Z07 package? Since it is a Z06 it is obviously a fixed roof, but it looks exactly like the transparent, removable roof you get with a coupe or a GS. Does the Z07 feature a transparent fixed roof? Or is it just a painted black roof? If so, what is the reasoning behind this?
I have a Zo7 and it is a stock Zo6 roof. You can get the carbon package but it is a painted CF roof. But painted the color of the car. I don't know what we are seeing here. Maybe a photoshop....
The new-for-2011 Z07 package, priced at $9,495, adds the Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot PS2 ZP tires, and Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) shocks from the Corvette ZR1, along with gray 20-spoke wheels (19" up front, 20" out back). The $3,995 CFZ package adds functional carbon-fiber bits that improve aerodynamics and decrease weight, including a front spoiler, side sills, roof panel, and a body-color rear spoiler.

I would say that is the Black painted carbon Fiber roof, the Halo is not Carbon Fiber on the Z07. Here is another pic.
Mine is black but so is my car. I don't have the CF package. There was another Zo7 there and it was orange with the CF package. It had an orange roof. This car has the CF package due to the side skirts but the Cf roof is supposed to be painted the color of the car. Something changed!
Here is my ZO7 roof with carbon fiber package. Chevy used a small sticker to show that the painted roof is carbon fiber. The car is black on ebony.........thus the question of whether all ZO7s with Carbon Fiber Package have black roofs remains unanswered. I leave this to someone else to answer. Is it possible that during the 2011 year some came with roofs in the car color and some with the roof done black regardless of car color? My build date was late April 2011.
The 2011's with the CFZ option, comes with the ZR1 carbon fiber front splitter and carbon fiber running boards and the carbon fiber roof panel. All three are painted black.
Nope. They made a lot of zr1s. The carbon zo6 will be rare.
If I had wanted a ZR1 I would have bought it. After driving both at Spring Mountain I am now 100% sure I made the right choice for me. Zr-1s are great cars but I just prefer the Z07 with the Z07 package. Lots of ZR 1 s sitting on lots.... Not many Z06s with the Z07 package sitting on lots!

Well said!
I agree on Spring Mountain too. It was beyond great!

Those crossed flag decals come on a sheet of 6 with the Carbon Editions. Don't know if you can get them separate from GM.

I also had the choice of what I wanted.....No question there is a difference between the two cars, BIG DIFFERENCE.
Ask a real ZR1 owner if he is disappointed he didn't get a Z07 instead, I will GUARANTEE 100% NO, will be the answer. .
I love the Z07, I actually looked at a couple, but in the end, I wanted the BIG DAWG, I don't like to go half way, but that's just me.
