Default C7 model year?

Was just reading the St. Louis Post Dispatch's online copy and they have an article on Corvette leaving St. Louis for Bowling Green. Here's a line from the article:

Spurred by $7.5 million in state tax incentives, GM announced in May that it would invest $131 million to refurbish the plant for the launch of the seventh-generation Corvette, tentatively scheduled for 2013.
Here's the rest: linky

I grew up in St Louis and remember taking a tour of the St Louis Corvette plant in the early 60's. It was so cool to be a kid touring the plant, for even back then, a Corvette was THE car.
