It depends on how long it is before the dealer gets an allocation. If he has one soon, it would probably be about 6 to 8 weeks before you get the car. Can't answer your original question about when it gets in the production queue, since I'm not sure when it's considered in the production queue.

Yep, seems like a black art. Thanks for the reply.
I think the general wait period for a new Corvette if 6-8 weeks after the order has been placed. But, with the Centennial package, your wait may be delayed. I have a feeling that the Centennial package will be a popular order this year.

Dealers with allocations can get a car in about six weeks. The Centennial Package is on constraint meaning either limited availability or none available. If it is on limited then your dealer better be at the computer the second GM starts excepting orders for that week and maybe you will get it.
I've not ordered a new Corvette before (was always lucky enough to find a car in inventory) and am interested in ordering a 2012.
My question is after placing an order, typically how long does it take for your order to get into the production queue?
I'm looking at a GS vert 6 speed with Centennial package.
thanks in advance,
brad
Also, call or email one of our forum dealers. You will get the best price and they will have an allocation for the order so it will go faster. If you have any special questions, they will have the best and most accurate answers for you as well.
I would recommend McMulken. There are others on here as well. Do a search. Good luck with your choice.
Sorry that I’m late in posting this but I agree with JimTN. Although I’m not sure how long it takes to get into the production queue, it usually takes about 6-8 weeks to get to the dealership after ordering.

Thank you, Laura.
I've stopped my original order and am placing a new one with a wonderful forum dealer that begins with "M".
REALLY appreciate the Forum once again.
This place rocks.
