Default Service Active Handling?

Quick question guys,

I have 2010 GS, ECS 1500 Kit with headers putting down 540RWHP and 520 TQ. When I got WOT throttle with the traction control on the DIC tells me Service Active Handling, if I shut the car down and restart the DIC does not deplay the error again. If I go WOT throttle with the traction control turned off but active handling still on I dont see any messages on the DIC. I called the installer and asked him abotu this and they told me they do not mess with that system as its a whole differnt computer. Any one else have this issue or can give me an idea of whats going on here?

Thanks as always

You need to get the codes pulled. Will have to go to some place where they can read ABS codes. Due to the need to recalibrate the steering sensor ABS codes reset themselves with every engine start so some of them might disappear if you turn off the engine. Try to leave the engine running and despite normal procedures hook up the scanner while it is running. Another way is to install the scanner and take the car for a ride and repeat the conditions that caused the message and then without shutting off the engine read the codes on the scanner.

How is your wheel alignment? Is the steering wheel turned one way or the other?

By the way that should be covered under warranty since the mods you have don't affect the ABS system.

The alignment seems to be fine. I will double check next time I take it out. I wasnt sure about the warranty thing being its supercharged now, I thought all warranty was out the door.

I will definately try your advice, appreciate it. Thanks Bill.

Having the codes checked will lead you in the right direction.

i used to have the same problem in combination with the brake lights sticking on sometimes. I loosened the bolt that hold the brake light switch in, rotated the sensor to make it less sensitive, and torqued down the bolt. No more errors...

FYI the brake light switch is not "adjustable", but the diameter of the bolt and the hole are not the same which allows for some wiggle room. This wiggle room was enough to make my system **** and moan.

Jerk!! Nope......floored it on the way home from work yesterday with AH and TC on and the DIC lit up Service Active Handling, dealer had no clue what I was talking about, I need to have ZBad hook up the Ipad next time were out and get the codes. Either something is disconnected from the install of the SC or its the same problem alot of people are having with the telescopic steering. Im a little nervous to hit it with traction control off

I had the same code last year, it kept coming and going, but I could never get it to go on at the dealer. It finally went on when it was there for an oil change and they took care of it, it was that whole wire harness in the steering column deal you are talking about, no problem since. Some of those stories freaked me out a little though, although I think that may have been one of those things that went a little wild with internet rumors.

You'll get used to the power, you got those super sticky tires on, just take your brave pills and give it a little more gas each time. I bet your hooking up pretty well from 60 on these real hot days.

Does your speedo act funny at the same time. I have issues with my speedo acting funny when going WOT (and other random times not at WOT).
