Threads may get resolved in private. When it comes to member vs member or member vs vendor, when both parties have had a chance tell their side of the story, they lock it up.
Because all the BS inbetween is pure speculation and actually does more harm then good. Let the OP and vendor or member resolve the issue. No one else was involved yet everyone seems to have an opinion and chime in on something they werent even a part of. And thats why they get locked!
Why do threads get closed before things are resolved?
Seems like censorship..
Be more specific. I think I know the thread you are talking about, it was closed at the appropriate time, each party posted their side of the story. It then gets locked and if a resolution is or isn't reached between the two parties a new thread can be started stating such. No censorship.

why am I so easily distracted by your profile pic?
Moderation and the rule set here is fairly strict compared to some other forums, but that's to be expected in a community mostly comprised of 40+ men who are likely to lean socially conservative.
The vendors also wield significant say about posts in their threads that they deem as undesirable. I shared my thoughts with the mod staff about that, since it seems there's no place here dedicated to vendor and parts or vehicle seller feedback.
All I can say is they are serious about it. I was taken to task for bringing up a subject they had closed.
Here's there thing, though. In all of these disputes - or at least 99 percent of them - there is the guy who got the gold mine and the guy who got the shaft. And the guy who got jobbed is at a distinct disadvantage the way this forum is run. I mean he is still out the money. He doesn't have a lot of leverage EXCEPT for this forum.

You my also want to pm the OP if you are looking for more info. You can find out if it was resolved to his satisfaction.
