Folks out there will spend thosands of dollars on appearance items and flintch at $100/$150 for something that prevents oil being digested by the engine? Does it "harm" the engine? Read and form your opinion, I choose to think oil ingestion is only good to 2 strokes.

As far as what the engineers think; it's the bean counters that typically have the last word on decisions where it is feasible to not spend the money with the general public not recognizing the difference.

Speaking of GM engineering C6 feats; do you not just love the fact that the thing hitting the pavenment first when in motion is an aluminum frame holding the radiator in place and a great deal of the front end must be removed to replace it..... leaking oil pan gasget, $1,000 for replacement; of course that seldom happens.

I just replaced my intake with a fast. My stock intake had oil all over the inside. While there is no real proof that this will hurt anything, I opted to put a catch can on it to eliminate it going into my Fast. Is is neccessary, no, the car will still run a long life without it, but what mod is?
I asked the question before.... Will the oil recycled into the cylinders, as small as the amount is, lower the octane rating of the fuel being burned? Even a slight amount?

This is one of those cases where you really do get what you pay. Our Catch Cans were designed on LSX engines for LSX engines. Many of the cheaper Catch Cans on the market are nothing more than empty aluminum cans with cheap imported fittings. Our Aluminum Catch Cans are fully machined from solid stock, have three separate pieces, stainless steel internal chamber and you have the ability to get inside ours to inspect and clean out the internals if necessary. If you stand our Catch Can next to the cheaper versions, you'll quickly see the differences in the quality, performance and the fact that ours actually does what a Catch Can is supposed to do. The proof is in the bottom of the Can. And it's the reason why our design has been featured in many of the automotive magazines.
