New to posting
Don't be shy about participating on the forum. It's a lot more fun when you've shared an opinion or asked a question and the discussion ensues.
I remember my first post here....April 2010....I had gone to Long Beach Grand Prix practice day...I had gone through the Corvette lifestyle display and was pretty ambivalent to the whole thing (I write computer software used in the booths of car companies at lots of auto shows, so I've been through hundreds of manufacturer display booths). Way cool cars...but my kid hauler mini-van works just fine!
An hour later I was watching the practice session for the celebrity race. I was thinking to myself, "Why the heck do these bozo's get to race around this track? What makes them so special?" That's when it hit me...I need to get my own performance car! A Corvette came to mind instantly....and that was the moment I was "bit by the Corvette bug!".
That night the online research started, and of course the Corvette Forum came up. I signed up, lurked and read literally thousands of posts, soaking up information like a sponge. I realized that I wasn't the only guy passionate about these cars (and heck I had never even driven one).
So my first thread was "When did you get bit by the Corvette bug?" I got several pages of great replies. Neat stories about childhood dreams and life long passions. Reading all of those responses to my post just fueled my fire even more!
I'm now the proud owner of a 2011 GS that I drive daily (13K miles on it so far!). This forum helped immensely in making that all happen (forum dealer, many questions to the group about options, etc.).
So anyway.....post some stuff....ask some questions....get a few flames...get involved in the forum, you'll have a great time!
