I'm dumb, so bear with me! How do you remove the plastic covers over the front bolts? Do you pry the bottom of the clip, or the riser? Is there a release clip or something holding them? I don't want to break them. Thanks!

Phillips head screws, one on each plastic piece. Then push them towards the front of the car, they will come off. Don't pull up on them as you will break a tab under the front.

Thank You! I definitely would have broken it. I have a loose bolt and need to tighten it. Thanks again!

Mine has the plastic push pins instead of screws on the vertical surface. Pry out the center pin and then the outer one.

Both of my C5s had the push pins and my 08Z has them as well.

Thanks! I'll check for push pins or screws.
