I just bought the REJEX kit - cleaner and the REJEX itself. The cleaner says it can be diluted by as much as 20 parts water to 1 part cleaner. The question (actually 2) is: how much should I dilute the cleaner, and does it remove the wax the way Dawn would? Thanks.
Give it a good wash 2x with just a small amount of Dawn (dump out your bucket between washes) then clay bar then about 12:1 with the cleaner. Do 1 coat let it set up and buff let sit indoors 24 hrs and do a 2nd coat, buff let cure 24 hrs...good to go. Don't forget to do the windows (clay and rejex)
Hmm not sure, I never used the cleaner , just always used Dawn.. then Rejex
anyone?
That's how I've done it too. My paint really hasn't needed cleaning since it's garaged most of the time, and the Dawn strips off the old wax/Rejex pretty well. If you paint isn't smooth and glass-like, you might want to consider clay-barring it prior to putting the Rejex on.
For paint in nice condition you can use a chemical (not abrasive polish) cleaner to remove old Rejex and prep for a new coat. Pinnacle Paintwork Lotion and P21S GEPC are great examples and easy to apply and remove.
Question : Once you get the Rejex on, can you use a spray detailer, or what do you do when you get smears or smudges, or just plain road dust, I have a black car and its a constant battle !
Thanks for the quick replies. Of course, it's got to cool off a bit before I do it - supposed to be 100+ by the end of this week. I'm thinking September...

Yep! They're pretty serious about applying Rejex below 85*, as it won't cure properly above that.
In Phoenix, I can't do Rejex from mid-May until Oct.

I just laid a coat of Rejex on the front bumper fascia at about 85%. It felt a little weird when I buffed it off and looked a little uneven in spots. I am going to apply a second coat early in the day at lower temps to see how that works.

So long as you have let the Rejex cure when you initially applied it, that should be fine. I used detail spray all last year over Rejex and it works fine, it will not hurt the Rejex.

Yea that is the only downside to Rejex is the temp requirement, and for you folks out in AZ, I can imagine you have to time it right since it's so dang hot there all the time.

California Duster and Detail Spray are fine with Rejex.
