Door lock issues

About half the time my wife tries to exit the car either running, in park or not running the door switch flashes, the window drops down for opening and the door does not open. I can go around to the outside and it opens every time. Any ideas, bad switch pad or just hanging up.

Door actuator needs replacing it sounds like....that's not an uncommon problem....part is around 60 on parts taxi.....you can do it yourself if your out of warranty.
