The front is probably the same as in the rear ... It's a plastic emblem with a strong double sided tape / adhesive attaching it. Once removed, you really can't reuse the emblem unless you could scrape off the adhesive and re-apply the double sided adhesive tape.
As Jack mentioned, there are 3 little plastic pins on the emblem that fit holes in the bumper for proper placement.
I purchased a waterfall from RPI designs along with a stock GM emblem that is identical to the nose emblem( believe that is what it is, but not sure. It didn't have any pins, just the tape.
Looking at the nose pieces after they go through the paint booth at Bowling Green, I don't recall seeing any holes for pins. Now, for the rear emblem, I believe I saw some dimples, on the photo of the new blue color that was sprayed on a rear bumper and was shown at the museum when they were showing off the new centennial editions
There are two pins, double sided sticky tape.. have one sitting here on my desk that was taken off the front nose of my 11 GS when I had a factory painted nose installed..
Thanks to all that had good advice and the heads up on Corvette Mods. No sweat off my ***, it was just over $100 on the deal I got so I will power it and hang it in the garage for decoration. I do need to get a new front emblem because the plant did not install it even with the stripes when they did it. On to the next project and enjoying the ole AY C8.
