When is GM going to wake up and get rid of the junk Goodyear tires?
Probably not until Michelin gives them a comparable price!!! When I ran a Acura dealership back in 2004-5 the TL's came with Bridgstone's unless navigation was ordered... Navagation equiped cars came with Michelins. as explained to me by Acura, they considererd the navigation equiped cars a upgrade and therefor they got better tires? We had terrible flat spotting issues in winter with the Bridgstone's... When tire replacement was called for Acura only allowed Bridgestone tires to be used on cars that came with them even if the consumer or the dealer offered pay the difference (about $50 then). (warranty or goodwill)
The manufacturers are very funny about tires... Sometime it seems to make no sense, but they have some method to their madness!
Oh, my wife's brand new Acura TL without Navigation came with you guessed it, Bridgestones !!! LOL.... I took a look on the lot and the New 2012's with Navi still get the Michelins!!!!
With every car or truck that i have bought from my Chevy dealer which includes three vettes, my salesman which is the same guy each time, has told me to wait 500 miles to bring it in if it pulls one way or the other. This is because the suspension gets more or less broken in and a better alignment can be done.
You said highway, highways have ruts, a lot of people new to the C5/6 confuse wide tires following the ruts with pulling.
I appreciate your input, but it's a mild pull... I just didnt know if it was an alignment issue or the tire?
I know some people misread road crowns, ruts etc... I do know better... The road right by my house is flat in the middle and it's where I test to make sure it's not the road. Plus my other 3 cars plus my Corvette trade track strait on the same roads. Heck, when I was a dealer I went on 100's of rides with customers to verify exactly that!!! The tell all is on I95 by my house, it's freshly paved and its heavily crowned, cars fall off to the right on the right 2lanes fall to the left on the left lane and will track straight on the second lane from the left... This car pulls strongly on the right walks in middle and goes strait in the left lane a sure tell that it's off....
On my wife's car when it needed alignment at first the writer told her it's supposed to walk right in case you fall asleep while driving (really he said that to her) got to love those guys!!!!

As a former car dealer all I can say to that is WOW !!!
Alignment and balance are set when the car is produced... A car that vibrates or pulls has one of few things wrong... Bad tire(s) or something is off in the settings or of course wheel weight may have fallen off..."settling" is not going to correct a problem... Thats of course assuming it wasnt damaged in transit. After 30 plus years I got a say that's a new one on me.... But I guess you never know ....

I had good luck and good results with the GY DSD3 on my C5 and the Supercar F1s on the C6. I am using Michelin now because I got a good deal from tire rack! YMMV
