Default Wild2Mild Issues???

Looking to install one of these but was curious if there are any known issues with the product, particularly related to electrical problems? Also, any current videos comparing stock to this system with sound?

I don't have a M2W unit but I do have a Sunset Orange Exhaust Commander which is the same thing. I have had no issue with the device doing anything negative to my vehicle and have not heard of anyone complaining about anything.

As for the sound difference between stock and with the device, there is no difference. You're not changing the mufflers or anything! When the non-modified car opens the inner exhaust pipe valves automatically you have the same exact sound as when you have a M2W and open them manually.

Good luck!

M2W is completely stupid proof. It works every single time right out of the box and takes approx. 4-5 minutes to install.
Is well worth the money !

I did my own, it was easy and is a switch on the dead pedal (my pix attached). Here is the install thread I used as a reference <CLICK HERE>. It was very simple and I snaked the wire through the bottom of the center console. Works perfectly, no issues or probs. LOL ...

Use the "no battery drain" installation and then there are no issues.

Very simple install. I have never heard of anyone having any issues at all with it. It's a great thing to be able to open and close the valves at the push of a finger. I love mine and I'm very happy I purchased it.

Youtube has plenty of clips. I love my M2W switch. No problems at all. Easy install. 10 minutes max. And I suck with electronics!

Default sunset orange

I also have Sunset Orange product. Mine works through one of the buttons on visor. It was very easy to install, has worked great for eight months since installation and company rep was great to deal with.

The "Zero Drain" connection method is the only way to go. Once it's installed you can forget it.

The hand held FOB gives you total control at all times...............

I have had the M2W in my Z06 for the past three years. No problems except for having to replace the battery in one of the remotes. I just carry the remote in the cup holder as I don't normally drink in the car. If I do need to use the cup holder, then I put the remote in the ash tray. I guarantee that I(or anyone) will never smoke in my car as long as I own it.

Oh, and I thought the reason the M2W was so popular, was that it's primary purpose was to drown out the wife's telling you to slow down, turn around and ask for directions, etc.

We have had the Mild to Wild for a couple of years, just transferred it from our 09 coupe that we traded for our 11 GS convertible. It sure seems to be a lot louder in the vert though. And thats kind of weird since the road noise in the vert is the same as in the coupe even though the coupe had Michelin AS tires on it. Makes me wonder if the bi mode exhaust is a little louder in the 2011 than it was in the 2009.

I installed M2W, but it really wasn't neccessary. I keep it wild 100% of the time. Just needed to pull the fuse. Since I rarely take the Vette on long trips where drone could be an issue, I have even detached the M2W fob from the Vette fob.

There are several motorcycles on my streets and if the neighbors can take that, they can take my Vette with the pipes open.!

A M2W unit is a "Mild 2 Wild" exhaust controller developed by a forum vendor back in 2008. Not to be confused with other units sold here on the forum, the Mild 2 Wild was the first. It is used to give owners control over the operation of their factory bi-mode exhausts on the 2008+ coupe and convertible, Z06 and ZR1.

You can read a little about it here:

No problem with mine and I love it. Folks at shows who never saw one all have favorable reactions.

It took me 15 minutes in stead of 10 to install the W2M. I have a degee in electronics but the problem is I am 74 so I went a little slower.
The Wild2Mild is an excellant product. When I start up to leave a show I will have the clicker in my pocket and watch folks trying to figure why the sound is changing.
