Default NAV screen protector

Where do you get replacement navigation screen protectors from? Mine is aged and difficult to see through. Thanks

And I thought you were supposed to remove the plastic wrap.

FWIW, we tried one on our first car with factory nav (2005 Toyota Camry) and finally took it off. There is a slight degradation of the "picture", and we are moderately careful about not scratching the screen.

The 2005 Toyota now has 49k miles, nav screen is fine.
Our 2006 C6 was sold at 44k miles, nav screen was fine.
Our current 2009 C6 has 35k miles, nav screen is fine.

We don't just rub them with a dirty rag, my cleaning procedure is:
Blow off dust with Dustoff or compressed air.
Spray GM Glass Cleaner (approved for plastics) into 100% cotton soft towel, wipe gently.

Works for me...

Mine is very difficult to see, looks like it doesn't lay flat against the screen and with the top down, the sun completely washes it out. Maybe I don't need the protector?

Soon after buying the car, in April 2007, saw a post here, on CF, with a link to a company that sells screen protectors that fit our nav unit. The protector works great. Sorry I do not remember the company, try searching. Good luck. If that doesn't work try Google- something always show up there.

Is this about an aftermarket screen protector, or one that is supposed to be on there from the Factory.
Didn't know there was one on mine, if in fact there is ?

Did you get one from them? If so, do you like it and which one did you get?

Never mind, I went ahead and bought their $17.00 one. Hope it works better that the one on it now!

On our 2006 and now 2009, no screen protector installed from the factory. Or if there was, the NCM removed it on our 2006 and the dealer removed it on our 2009.

As mentioned in post #3, we've never seen any need for one. But that's not to say you couldn't scratch the screen if you are particularly unlucky or clumsy.
