Default Convertible top question

When raising or lowering the top can you stop it by releasing the button about halfway to check the waterfall. I have some kind of small noise on the drivers side with the top up. The noise goes way when I reach behind the seat and put a little pressure against the waterfall.

You can stop the button at any point and then go up or down after stopping. Raise the top until it is fully out of the way, then you can take all the time you need to check out the waterfall.

With the top stopped half-way open, the pump will eventually (10 minutes?) release the pressure and the top will drop.

This doesn't hurt anything but can catch you by surprise while you're working.

Prop it up if need be.

If a finger were in near one of the hinge points, it could be much worse than just a surprise.

Does it sound like a rattle? I had a rattle and it turned out the joints were loose, either rivets or screws, i don't know which, gone now

You can pull the manual release "ripcord" under the passenger side of the waterfall and pull it up manually to check things out also....

I did find a couple of loose screws and also sprayed some silicone on a few areas behind the speedster humps and drove it down the road it took care of the noise going to take a little trip tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks for helping.
