New 2011 GS with 300 miles, sometimes smells like burnt clutch?
Hey all, New 2011 Jetstream Blue owner here. I got 300 miles on my car and sometimes and still breaking in the car so I've never pushed it over 3000 rpm. Sometimes though, the car smells like burnt brakes/clutch after a very light drive even just moving the car out to the driveway to wash. Is this normal? I do have the NPP exhaust.
Thanks!

Probably oils and labels burning off your exhaust system.
However, I would look to make sure you don't have any wires getting burned on the exhaust somewhere.
Also, check your brakes after a drive with finger temp test to see if one is any hotter than another indicated a pad dragging.

Sounds like brand new outside of the cabin new car smell. Give a few hundred miles and if it hasn't dissipated then back to the dealer but at this point I think it's just burning itself in.
Enjoy your new car!

I've had more then a few c6's and have had the smell your describing while backing out of the driveway in just about all of them. Always happens in reverse and not when I'm abusing it. Take it to the dealer to be sure but I'm betting it's just one of the quirks of the car
