I would agree. I have owned several cars with cooled seats and I loved it. Since the Corvette isn't a winter weather car I would think that is a more attractive option that heated seats would be. That said I know you can retrofit them in, but there are many parts needed to replace.
cooled seats would be nice, but added weight and cost all adds up. Heated seat don't add weight. It's all about keeping the weight down. Obama fuel mileage needs light cars. vote republican.
I have cooled seats on my Escalade, they are great this time of year in Virginia. One you get used to them, it is hard to do without, especially with record high temps.

That makes sense to me. I never felt the need for cooled seats (or heated seats for that matter) but I imagine with increasingly stringent government regulations we'll see the Corvette go 'green' and degrade into a more luxury oriented car with options such as this.
does anyone make cooled seats or has anyone ever installed them like in the link above?
I've wondered about this too. I have cooled seats in my 2009 Denali, and use them frequently in the summer. I would think that with the mechanically talented people on this forum, that someone could add this option to their Corvette. After all, its just a fan/blower, and perforated leather. Should be quite simple to add.
It should be quite easy to find a wrecked Escalade or Denali to be a donor.
The "increased weight" argument doesn't hold water with me, we are not talking about a significant weight here, the fan/blower are mostly plastic.
