Yes, all the wax should be removed. I use Dawn dishwashing soap to remove the wax along with a good wash. Remember let it cure for 12 hours out of the sun & rain before taking it out or appplying another coat.

Any sealer will only be as good as what its on top of. If you apply it to a surface with old wax it will only last as long as the wax it's applied over. It won't hurt anything, it just won't last.
This would be the opportunity to clay bar the finish...the best shine always starts with a clean finish. Want to find out whether clay bar is needed...simple little trick... take some plastic wrap (Saran wrap being one) and wrap onto your hand (adhesive side to your hand) and then just wipe gently a couple areas... you will know whether clay bar is needed.

use blue dawn.. its the highest in alkaline and will remove the old wax the best.
as stated, good time to clay first.. start with a glass smooth surface.

Great point.
Clay, clay & clay. Just lubricate, lubricate & lubricate well.
Dawn works very well at getting everything off, then I would clay also..not required, but as a few have stated, it;s all about the prep work to get to that final product.
Last week I put on my first Rejex coat. Before Rejex I scrubbed it really good with Dawn, then clay-barred with Dawn-soaked clay (which p/u'd a bunch of gunk), did a good wiping rinse, blow-dried and then did the initial Rejex. I hope to Rejex again this weekend.
