Default Mp3?

Just bought 2007 C6. Does stock radio have MP3 jack? Can I use an ipod for input?

I think only the 08+ have AUX jacks. You'll need to get an adapter like the GM PAL (Personal Audio Link) unit the site vendors sell.

Congrats on your new car and welcome to the Forum.

Sorry, 07's do not have any kind of MP3 input.

If you have XM, even if it isn't activated, you can tap into the XM Tuner's wiring harness and very easily/inexpensively install a jack to connect a music player.

Search for Aux Input and posts by Ray Kawal for all the info you'll need.

Ray is also the man for installing/troubleshooting the PAL (Personal Audio Link).

You are out of luck, but don't feel bad. My 2010 with premium Blose with NAV has no connection. As recommended, go with Ray Kawal and his PAL. Installed one in my 2010 (easy install) and all is now right with the world.

My 2010 Z06 w/Nav/Bose does not have it either.

You did not mention which system is in your Vette?

The delimma I had is that moving to aftermarket sound system does not allow integration of the Nav unit into the Head Up Display. I do like that feature.

If it does not bother you to give that up, then the choice would be to get aftermarket system which will even provide greater capability/options (except HUD) -OR-

get the PAL device from Ray. I bought the gen 2 PAL device. It's easy to install as well. Only thing is I have a iPhone 4 and I had drove my 'Z into the city last month. The device was stopping the song which was playing about half way through the song and then advancing to the next song.....and I noticed it would only play approx 25 songs. I know the playlist I had selected contain over 700 songs.....I have been meaning to email Ray about that....

Anyway, that's your options, either go to aftermarket or get the PAL device from Ray (or GM.....Gen 2 is the current version). The least expensive option is (gen 2) PAL device and keeps your Vette factory. The aftermarket sound systems DO sound good. That's why GM is updating the Bose sound system in 2012 to correct this horrible shortcoming

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the help...The car does have XM so I will explore your suggested solution.

I have had the car for a couple of weeks now so it is still a thrill to get in it and go.

Thanks again....
