Just wondered if anyone has added an F55 dial to their non F55 vehicle as a way to control their NPP exhaust?
I am looking for a Z51 C6 but love how the F55 switch fills out the center console and would like add it just for the cosmetics, but if I can make it function it's a win-win.
With the add-a-circuit you just replace the seat heat fuse with the add-a-circuit, wire it to the NPP fuse location with the NPP fuse removed and then to your switch. You can use the F55 switch location for the NPP switch.
First picture, in order as shown:
12V 15A exhaust remote, ground lug [on twin black leads], mini fuse lug (cut down from standard lug) [on white 12V out lead - this goes to the NPP out signal slot in the fuse block], add a mini fuse tap [to red 12V in lead on remote - this goes in fuse slot for heated seat w/ mini 10A fuse top and bottom - maintains seat heat and adds a power circuit for the remote]
will this switch void any warrantees? has anyone had problems when getting engine etc.. worked on having the gm service making an issue out of it or blaming it on the exhaust mod?
This is absolutely doable. It is however going to be a fairly expensive NPP control switch. If you decide to go this route nd need any help with the pinout and termination on the switch, just let me know.
right now iv installed Cut Outs and gave F55 Switcher (2008+) to my Electric to make changes gonna the button will be totally reworked the normal position will be in the middle of Tour and Sport , when ull turn it to Sport and hold it the Cut Outs will start to open and whenever u release it will automatically go back to middle position and stays open at the position where u released it , and while ull hold it to Tour it will close it depending on how long u r holding it will totally close cut outs ill post video's and stuff soon..
