Well i was enjoying driving my car for a week or so. Thats as long as the fun lasted, the problem is back. The whole wont start thing where the green light comes on, push the button and ......nothing. The needles sweep relays click then follow is the sad look on my face. And i can always tell when its about to happen cause when im driving all the gauges will start to go crazy and the a/c will blow, but it wont be cold and the power of the car is drasticly reduced. Then service trac. service fuel system. service this and that. then when i shut it off, it wont start for a month or a couple of weeks. I even took my pioneer radio out thinking maybe it was the problem and put my factory radio back in, and still nothing. Now u maybe asking me why i havent took it to the dealer yet. Well i have several vehicles and a chopper so if it sits up for a while its really not a problem but i really am starting to miss my car. looked on the forum and i see some people have said from
a loose ground to a bad ecu. But im not going to lie im very skeptical
about taking it to the dealer cause i just took my wifes car to the lexus dealer and 2500 dollars later my wifes car is still not woking right. so i really dont know.
Usually the dealer is the best bet for service on these cars. Check with the local Corvette Club to see which dealer provides the beast service for Corvettes.
Houston has a large after market climate and you also might be able to find an independent shop that is knowledgeable enough to handle the problem-my first choice on these cars is always the dealer. Good luck.

It's an 07? Has the battery been changed? If not I'd do that before doing ANYTHING else. These cars are extremely sensitive to low or improper voltage. They will do exactly what yours is doing now.. go totally crazy. It doesn't have to be that much either for many strange and not so wonderful things happening. I changed my battery last year (06) simply to try and avoid problems... knock on wood I've never experienced anything like that!
I'm sure more experienced members will chime in but that's what I'd do BEFORE doing anything else..........

COCH associates with at least one dealer--Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland...dealer is a club sponsor.
I recently joined COCH so that's how I became aware of this.
I have not used them for service yet, but would certainly consider them in the future if necessary.

REPLACED THE BATTERY TWICE. DONT THINK THE FIRST ONE WAS BAD.
But replaced it anyway second one work for a couple of days then wouldnt take a charge. but has a new battery

please post-up your experience with them...good luck !
also sounds like you may possibly have a bad alternator/voltage regulator...
Not trying to get u you all to diagnos my problem but it would make me feel better that maybe its not a ecu problem and that maybe it is a alternator or voltage regulator problem. but would those things make the gauges go crazy when u are driving and the power reduce like it wants to cut off. and all the sevice lights come on?
SO my understanding is that you'd rather let the car sit for a couple of weeks and hope it starts and complain about it than to take it to the dealership and get to the root of the problem? It could be something as simple as the altenator and could have been fixed a long time ago.

???
If the alternator was working properly and connected to a good battery, it will charge.

Yes. These cars are very voltage sensitive.
A dying battery can at times kill an alternator. It is time to check your charging system.

To be honest i figure i dont need the car to drive every day. so why pay a wrecker driver to come and get it. ill just wait till it starts up again. and then when it does i dont have the time and i just drive it to the store or short trips. ...........OK lets be honest when it doest start up i just miss the damn thing so much i dont want to send it off cause i want to drive it. shame on me guess.
You need to VERIFY your voltage with a digital volt/ohm meter. This will tell you exactly how many volts the battery has, not just a rough guess. You can buy one relatively cheaply at Sears or any home improvement store, and it is a great tool to have.

i left out the part where i thought well maybe something is killing the battery. so every night i hooked it to a tender and the battery that wouldnt take a charge was on the tender for a couple of days, (that the car ran) then the charger would read some code that i couldnt understand but i guess it was no chage. because when i put it in the car, everything was dead no lights no nothing. the new battery now reads 13.9 its good.
