Got up saw 6 pages and over 100 posts... WOW. That F'n unbelievable that this thread could go this long...
Why we are at it can someone tell me if I should use Rejex or Zaino

Plus this topic has already been brought up how many times? Now I would not ever want to hijack a thread, but since this one seems beat to death can I ask possibly the dumbest question of all? How do you remove the cover to reveal the Wixom tag? Is it just friction held on so it pops off and on? Thanks.

I take great offense to your insinuation that the engine builders at Wixom are stupid and/or losers.

True I did need a GED to pass sixth grade - I was distracted by the seventh grade girls.

After that I knuckled down and did well. I even graduated from high school and earned a bachelor degree in Business at Michigan State, with high honors.
It may surprise you to learn that all the engine builders at Wixom have graduated from a four year apprenticeship to reach journeyman status. All have many years of engine build experience, most in GM Engineering shops. And all working at Wixom do so by choice. I think you would have a hard time finding a more dedicated and competent crew in any other engine plant. But of course I am biased...
I invite you and any other skeptics to come into our plant for a tour!

We are very fortunate to own one of these finely built engines
2010 coupe GS weighs 3311 pounds,
That's 94 pounds difference, not 200.
The Cd difference between the 2008 Z51 and the 2010 Grand Sport isn't going to mean anything from 0-115 MPH(typical 1/4" mile dig). At 180 MPH, it will, but not at half that speed.
The wider 325 tires on the Grand Sport vs the narrower 285 tires on the Z51 are going to make a difference in traction from 0-60 MPH.
The weight penalty is more then made up by the improved traction.
The GS has a slight advantage over the Z51, in my opinion, because loss traction off the line is very hard to make up at the end of the quarter, (where the Cd comes into play[very little]). You lose .2 second in the first 60', and it will take 20 horses more to gain it back at the end of the quarter. Moving the extra 94 pounds is equal to about 10 horsepower loss. Net gain of .1 sec to the GS.
