I have a 2008, non-Z51 C6. I noticed today that the suspension squeaks big time when I go over speed bumps. I don't recall seeing any zerks anywhere, so how the heck do I get rid of the squeaks?!?!
It's the "H" hanger springs that hold the two exhaust pipes about half-way down the middle of the car. Most dealers are aware of this and repair no charge. There is a fantastic video showing this on this site.
squeaky aftermarket lowering bolts, worst mod ever
Nope. Not here The car is low enough already. I didn't get a chance to check last night, but I decided to drive her to work today, and I'm hearing it on both the front AND the back when I go over the speed bumps in my neighborhood. It's sounding like it very well might be the end links, but I'll check the H-pipe too.
It turned out that our "squeak" was our sway bar bushings. A little silicone grease took care of it. Only had it in the front, though.
can you describe the squeak in any other way or when exactly was it happening? I feel like I am having the same exact issue and the squeaks are getting so loud when I do 15 and under.
