Advise on code reading
I have an Actron OBD II code reader and need to pull a code on my 07 vette.What is the procedure for reading codes on a vehicle like this with key-less ignition and will my Actron work? I've used this code reader on my older vehicles with key ignition but am leary about trying it on the vette.Isn't it after 08 that you need a code reader with CAN?Appreciate some help from the experts out there.Thanks in advance.

you need a CAN code reader. starting in 2005. to turn on the ignition to read codes, press and hold the bottom of the start button until the instrument cluster comes on. when done, press again making sure the drivers door is open.

The one I use is the Actron CP9550 Pocket Scan Plus OBD II and CAN Code Reader.
Info comes up automatically after ignition is turned on.
