Are you planning on marketing this new roof design along with your other body panels? Or is this just for show?

I agree that the C6 roof line may not be as stylish as some and could use some updating. But, it is somewhat of a Corvette signature style element and a key structural addition. Hopefully the C7 will be an even better version of the Corvette and not just a copy of other sports car designs. We'll see.

I look forward to seeing the completed vehicle.
Cost wasn't an issue, it was just as expensive. The roof engineering was going to be $75,000 to have ASC do it. Then we still had to have them make one top for us. Plus we did the Speedster already on the C5. How do you raise the bar after that, this is the result.

Looking good. Just curious why a fixed rear hatch?

Any updates on this build?

The jalopnik C7 pictures made me think of it.

I love the design and I am highly interested. How did you deal with the halo/quarter windows? Is there a new roofline support designed as a halo replacement? Would it be feasible/cost effective to design it so the current roof would fit into this, or a removable one? It appears the complete roofline is redesigned, from the A pillars up. Are the A-pillars added on as covers to the windscreen as the factory style are, or a new integral support? My apologies for the many questions. However, I am to say the least, intrigued.

I'm thinking John wants to finish it now because the C7 roofline is going to look very similar I believe. I think this (John's car) is going to be the best looking Corvette ever made. If I could buy the car it could entice me to getting back into Corvettes. I'm blown away by it.

As I worry about drilling holes in the bumper for a spoiler and changing out the knee bolster for a newly covered one

Nice work John. Amazing how you can do this. Takes bigger one's than I have.

I would really like to see this finished and then parked next to a stock Z06 so we can see the subtle differences from various angles.

Look great so far.
