Default HELP...Convertible Top Problems

It has been 2 months since I broke the bow (3d one) on my top and I can not find anyone in Casper Wy that has any knowledge on the mechanics and repairing of a top. The bow is held in by two clips, one on each end and I saw the clip on the floor one day and couldnt figure out where it came from. Eventually, the other clip worked out of the bow and the arch (which is made of plastic) broke. So, the bow needs replaced. However, it is not just a matter of taking that bow out and putting a new one in. There is a liner attached to the third bow by an aluminum strip that has to be reaatached to the new bow plus the cable before the liner is threaded somehow to the third bow and attached on the underside of the arch by a screw. I cannot for the life of me figure this one out. Soooo, I need a schematic of the convertible top complete with what each part does so I can remove the liner, attach the cable to the new bow and put the two clips back on. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. 2006 3LT convertible, mechanical top. Thanks in advance!!! dpb

two suggestions: local corvette club prez.

hot rod clubs. since you've got one of the latter in your area, call them, ask where they get their convertible rods done. wouldn't surprise me that it's not in casper. you may have to go to cheyenne or denver.

Thanks!!!! Took your advice and contacted a hot rod club. They directed me to a local custom vehicle upholsterer who fixed my top, spent two hours doing it and charged me $67.50. I gave him a hundred dollar bill and thanked him profusely!!!! Again, thanks for thinking "outside of the box!! Dpb
