Do any of you have replica rims on your car? How do they feel, look etc.
Im looking for a set of cheap black rims for my car and these seem perfect. Im just not sure if they are decent or not. I don't want to have the car look cheesy or drive like crap. Please let me know what you think. I leased the car so i cant do anything to my stock rims. Id really love to spend a couple grand on a nice set but the wife just had a baby and i think she would try and kill me if i spent another 4g's on rims right now.
Congrats on the new baby.
'replica' usually means cheap, Chinese made, cast wheels that often dont measure up to others. Hear of many issues with them, out of round, not balancing, bad finishes......
I would not put such sub par wheels on my Corvette.
Its a world class sports car, dont skimp where the rubber meets the road. I would leave the ones you have till sometime in the future you can get quality wheels. Your child will thank you at this time.
This mans opinion, others will vary.

OP, I actually HAVE repros on my vette and haven't had a single issue with them. Fit/finish looks great (ZR1 repros in black). Buy them from a reputable vendor and they will back them up also. Contact Bob@HouseOfWheels.com. Great guy to deal with as I'm sure others will agree.
Whoever says repros are cheap junk just has no clue what there talking about. I haven't had a set on my c6 but I had two sets of repros in chrome on my c5. The first set lasted almost 4 years!!!! No issues until I hit the biggest pothole in history ( any rim would have bent) the second were on for about a year and sold with the car still straight as an arrow with 0 chrome issues. Oem wheel distributers on eBay is who I used. However bob from house if wheel a forum vendor here has a great rep!
Same wheel I have on my VR Z06--bought them from Bob at House of Wheels- a very straight shooter. I had one delivered with a gouge on the edge(FedEx must have dropped it). Bob had it picked up and a new one delivered all within 4 days. One hint:find a great balancer with a Hunter Road Force machine. Have had many compliments on the wheels. Many think I'm running the old red-line tires.
I ran black Z06 replicas on my car for about two years. One of the rear rims was out of round but with a good balancing from a my tire shop guys I had no issues. They also tend to be heavier but overall I you couldn't really complain for a set that cost $600 total incl shipping. When I upgraded to new rims I had another c6'er ****** it from me for $450. If I had to I would do it again.

Got my chrome GS replicas (Factory Reproductions) from Zip. They are near perfect, chrome is good, no balancing issues, other than adding GM center caps as the blank ones that came with them looked bad.
