Hey whatsup guys I have been lurking on here for a little bit just reading and gathering info but i have a question to ask. Ive been wanting to buy a c6 for a while now and I think I will be able to soon but the only down fall will be that I would have to drive it all year round through the snow and everything. I was just wondering how many of you guys do this and how much of a pain is it? lol
I use my car everyday as long as it's not snowing. Snow=bus in my case. These cars don't won't move a foot without slipping and sliding even in the most minimal snowfall.
haha that was fast. Im from northern new jersey so we get salted out alot during the winter. last winter was really bad we had almost 2 feet of snow during one storm even my Yukon wasn't going anywhere in that. the snow was up to the bumper. but realistically it only snows maybe 10-15 days out of the year and we usually don't get hit with storms that big. i honestly didn't think many of you guys used them all year round. i currently have 2 trucks one is a garage queen and i use the other all year round but im getting sick of having 2 trucks and i really want a corvette
Daily driver here since I bought her new in DEC 2010. No issues here. But... Im in Southern California where the weather is good all year long. When it rains which is rare, I do slow down. No issues, no regrets.
DD here. I am in Louisana so weather is different. I love my car got it in May. Only worry about door dings Scratches. I have a Explorer for a back up but I haven't driven it but maybe 2 or 3 times since I got the vette. Only drove the Ford then because of where I was going. I think you should get the vette. You will totally fall in love
DD here as well in NE Pennsylvania. Snow isn't the biggest problem. Ice is the real mother ******. Just be careful and watch your speed on ice and/or a very SMALL amount of snowfall. Believe it or not, the vette will perform better in 3 inches of snow than it will in 1/2 inch
I have no regrets. If you can afford to have 2 cars, that's obviously the better option. But if not, as long as you know how to harness the power, you should be fine
I'm in Oklahoma where we get periods of snow and ice but usually clears up in 3-4 days. As mentioned, you're limited by the amount of clearance with the front spoiler and anything over 3 inches or so is going to rip that baby off - especially if its hardened snow or ice (ask me how I know).
I got Contintental DWS tires last fall and was able to get around fairly easily this past winter except for heavier snows.

Been daily driving a Vette for 21 years, now approaching 600,000 miles.
Have driven all over the US (45 states) in all kinds of weather including blizzards in Kansas and Colorado. Heavy rains in most states at one time or another.
As others have said, over about four inches and things get dicey. Otherwise... go for it.

Wrong amigo. Put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP tires on and you're good for 2" or so of snow, and the Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero snow tires will do even better.
