Default intake coupler ques.

for the most part every intake system i see for a c6 comes with the bridge and filter but it seems as thow we keep our stock accordian style coupler...is there a reason to this? on my c5 all the intake systems i saw came with a coupler to replace that accordian style one..would it be worth buying this:

or just save my bucks and deal with the standard one
i have an 05 c6 a4

thanks

One of those things that isn't brought up very often.....not here anyway. I have a vague memory of reading a discussion here several years ago where it was alleged that the accordion coupler actually flows better.....for the Corvette MAF anyway.

Here's another source that has been posted here before. Pretty much up to you what you like for your car.

I have no idea.....it was just brought up in a discussion and I don't recall if that was challenged or debunked or anything else.

I think I found the one I was thinking of. I think I remembered it because it was a little heated. Not exactly the issue I wrote above but.......decide for yourself. Always good to have info and opinions.
