Here's my take. The top 3 guys will tell you that all of their headers are within a few HP of each other depending on how far you mod it and your goals. For a bolt on cam car you're probably looking at 2 - 3hp difference and also an impercievable difference in torque. When you start getting up to the 600+ HP levels your header choice will have more impact. However all things considered such as price which matters to people who have plenty of money a deal on Kooks shouldn't be passed up. I got a killer deal on my Vararam and catless Kooks system 3 years ago. I don't regret a single cent. The money saved goes back into the total upgrade budget per vehicle that I alot myself with each vehicle. I started doing this when I spent 40k on upgrades to my Tahoe. I now research and do everything rich the first time with a specific goal in mind.

You won't be dissappointed with any of the Big 3, but I'm running Kook's LTs myself and they sound amazing as long as you back it up with a nice muffler like Corsa, Borlas, BBs etc...

I was looking at Corsa... but don't know which version to get.. my #1 Concern is "NO DRONE AT ALL" ... if that cant be accomplished, I'll stay with the stock mufflers!!

Looks like I'm going with KOOKS complete system (with cats) and will see how the stock mufflers sound..

I'm not really into that "Bad Azz" sound, I prefer the "Bad Azz" Performance ... I'll also be going to a FAST intake, and a mild cam..

You guys all realize that there are a lot more VERY good header companies than just "the big 3" that you keep referring to....right?

Dynatech, Stainless Werks, OBX, B&B, etc...

They're all great and will all make similar power.

Yes... I've looked into them, and the (big 3) and the shop I deal with is a distributer for KOOKS.. and "Honest" I'm getting KOOKS for a price that comparable with any other header.. not counting the junk thats made in China..

You'll be safe with Corsa Sport but as with certain mod combinations you can most definitely have drone with Corsa Xtreme. Anyone that says "100% drone free" is making a foolish blanket statement and simply hasn't had the right combination.

Corsa Extreme is louder and has a harsher tone than the sports, but I've been in cars with both and drone is minimal compared to other exhausts I've heard in the C6.
