Default Centennial Black Red Line Wheels

Looking for Centennial Black Red Line Wheels for my 2008 C6. Are there OEM's available? Current wheels are 18 x 8.5 and 19 x 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have now seen both the GS Coupe and Convertible and neither had the Red Line on the Black Wheel. They were all Black. I have learned that the Red Lines comes on the Z06 Black Wheel. I am not sure if it also comes on the ZR1 Black Wheel. I was surpride as I thought the Red Line came on all the OEM Black Wheels. Guess Not...

I'm fairly sure that the red stripe also comes on the base Centennial wheels.
I believe the GS wheels are the only ones without the red stripe.

According to this; http://www.chevrolet.com/assets/pdf/...0_HeroCard.pdf the coupe, GS, Z06, and ZR1 all have the Centennial bling available. Only the GS wheels do not have the red stripe. Imo if these are forged wheels they'll be very expensive. I'll be interested to know.

I read somewhere that the reason the Centennial GS does not have the red stripe on the wheels is because of the unique design of the GS wheels. The spokes overlap the outer edge of the wheel preventing them from being striped with red paint.

They do however have the red lettering on the wheels.

You can get the base wheel size with the red stripe. They're around $1900 and change for the set. That is even with a $200 core charge ($50 per wheel) GM requires us to charge.

The GS and Z06 are basically the same size and they make them with the red stripe. Heck, even in the GM Workbook and Ordering Guide they call them Grand Sport Centennial wheels with the red stripe.

Currently the stock fronts are available, but not the rears. I don't mind getting you guys setup with some.

I talked to the GM guys at the Bash and that's the reason. There is no lip on the GS wheels with the spoke design, so they use the decals to add a red touch to the wheels.

The GS wheel is flanged different than the ZO6 or ZR1 wheel; hence no red stripe. Those wheels have a flat lip to put the red stripe on.

I think I read a few months ago that the Black Centennial Wheels are all painted Red first, then Black goes over the Red. They get the Red Stripe by using a Laser to remove some of the Black outer paint.

Just to clarify, the Z06 and ZR1's are only in 19/20s while the GS are 18/19.

Those wheels are sweet.

I'd love to have them on my GS!

Pretty nice wheel to get lost in black.

If my wife drove that car.... the red stripe would be silver within a week.

From what I understood at the NCM Bash they are indeed painted red first and then black over the red. The black paint then is machined off to expose the red again. The GM engineers even commented on the need to have prefectly straight/true wheels to make this process work.
