so reading the owners manuel i have learned that with an automatic transmission the seats will move to their preset memory position depending on what fob you have in your pocket.
on manuel transmissions you have to press the memo button each time you get in assuming you have the easy exit set to somthing different than the memo preset.
so my question is, is there any way to make the ECU think the car has an auto?
example, i know the seat memory has to see a signal that the car is in park for the seat memo feature to work. is there any way a wire can be connected to make the car think its in park so this will work?
might be able to wire it to the ebrake or somthing so the seat only moves when the ebrake is applied.
any suggestions?
Good question. I didn't realize the auto's behaved this way. For me pushing the button is just part of the "starting the car" routine. Get in, close door, push button, strap on belt, press brake, push in clutch, hit start button. It's a small price to pay for having MN6
i personally got sick of it and just programmed the easy exit to the same setting as my memory 1 setting so the seat never moves. its a little harder to get out but at least i dont have to push the button anymore.
