Does anyone make seats for a '09 Z that are fully -- and electrically -- adjustable? I'd really like to have the seat back angle (rake) electrically adjustable.
Still need to keep airbags, memory settings, etc. fully compatible with the rest of the car.
I've looked thru Chevy brochures but don't find anything better than I have (electric fore-aft and seat base angle).
Supposedly, the seat back is mechanical because it allows them to have that "flop", which is needed if you run the seat all the way back. If the seat back couldn't flop forward, the mechanism would be ruined when the back hits the bulkhead behind the seat.
There is probably a way to do the same thing with an electric system, but GM is always trying to remove weight and cost from the cars. Hopefully, they'll do it differently on the C7.
It doesn't seem certain that Cadillac XLR seats would be fully plug and play, even if they fit mechanically. Plug pin configurations, memory functions, etc. I don't think I'd want to chance it without knowing more.
